Housing

We provide virtually every Affordable Housing program available:

Assisted Housing - Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC):
The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) is the federal government's primary program for encouraging the investment of private equity in the development of affordable rental housing for low-income households.

Assisted Housing - Project Based Vouchers:
Project-based vouchers are a component of a public housing agencies (PHAs) housing choice voucher program. A PHA can attach up to 20 percent of its voucher assistance to specific housing units if the owner agrees to either rehabilitate or construct the units, or the owner agrees to set-aside a portion of the units in an existing development.

Assisted Housing - Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly:
The Section 202 program helps expand the supply of affordable housing with supportive services for the elderly. It provides very low-income elderly with options that allow them to live independently, but in an environment that provides support activities such as cleaning, cooking, transportation, etc. The program is similar to Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities (Section 811).

Assisted Housing - Section 515 USDA Rural Rental Housing Loans:
Section 515 Rural Renting Housing Loans are mortgages made by USDA to provide affordable rental housing for very low-, low-, and moderate-income families, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities.

Housing Choice Voucher / Section 8:
The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.

Public Housing:
Public Housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.  Public Housing comes in all sizes and types, from scattered single family houses, to high-rise apartments for elderly families.  The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers Federal aid to local housing agencies (HAs) that manage the housing for low income residents at rents they can afford.
