NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF FLORENCE
Pursuant to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations under definition of "Substantial Deviation" and "Significant Amendment or Modification" Final Rule 903.7 (r)(2), The Housing Authority of Florence (the "Authority") is considering the following items in a proposed amendment to the Authority's Annual PHA Plan:
- Proposed HUD Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD)
Project Based Rental Assistance (PBRA)conversion to Section 8 of Oakland Place, using a RAD/Section 18 Construction Blend of up to 90% Section 18 units and 10% RAD units. - Proposed HUD Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD)
Project Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) conversion to Section 8 of Church Hill Apartments, using a RAD/Section 18 Construction Blend of up to 90% Section 18 units and 10% RAD units.
The Housing Authority of Florence Resident Advisory Board (RAB) will hold a meeting on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss these items. This meeting will be held in the Authority's Central Office Cost Center, 2640 West Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501.
The Authority will also conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 1:00pm to discuss these items. That meeting will be held in the Authority's Central Office Cost Center, 2640 West Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501.
The meetings are open to the public. The Significant Amendment documents are posted, effective November 24, 2025, for 45 days with a place for public comment at the following location:
