Overview:

The Housing Authority of Florence is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician with a strong background in residential HVAC systems to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to residents in public and affordable housing communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on HVAC systems across housing units and facilities
• Diagnose system issues and ensure timely, cost-effective solutions
• Maintain, inspect, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment including split systems, heat pumps, and rooftop units
• Ensure compliance with EPA, safety, and housing authority regulations
• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in a timely manner
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed (some on-call hours may apply)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance and repair experience
• EPA Universal Certification (Required)
• A2L Certification (obtain within 6 months of hiring)
• Valid SC driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of HVAC codes, safety standards, and refrigerant handling
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with residents and team members
• High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in public housing or multifamily residential settings
